So Much New Stuff

I have to get up in 6 hours to do my show, but I want to remind everyone to
listen to nice it.

We have a lot of new things in our house. Each one is worthy of a blog
entry, but I’m going to spoil it all and list them thusly:

  • TV
  • Standard cable
  • Elliptical machine
  • Sound system wired throughout the house
  • Turtle

I have achieved my dream of getting up early, checking out headline news,
then reading the Economist and/or reviewing albums for the station while
doing my (stupid) workout (for my stupid high cholesterol which is stupid),
then jumping in the shower while listening to Fool For The City by Foghat
over and over really, really loud. I have achieved some sort of yuppie/nerd
nirvana. I’m so glad I voted for Kerry or I might be too overcome with guilt to enjoy all of this splendor.

I also learned a new acronym: LAMP, which stands for Linux-Apache-MySQL-PHP.
I have been doing it a while at work and at the station, but the acronym
itself is new.

    I was working the floor at a Gartner trade show tonight in SF and Miles was there. I updated him on all of us and he updated me on himself. He’s pretty much the same but a little more mellow and has a kid. It makes me realize how little I knew him back in those days.
